Which are hot, which are not? Ask yourself this question if you are a person seeking a designer:  "Which of these portfolios makes me feel like I want the designer behind it, to do my project?"

Your portfolio needs to show off your ability. It needs to show that you are versatile. Your portfolio needs to show that you have a large (hopefully) body of work under your belt (you're not a noob). It needs to be attractive to potential clients and needs to give a sense of your own personality. Your portfolio should showcase your best work, maybe not all of your work.
